StudioBinder offers both personal and company accounts; this way, you can choose the workspace that best fits your production needs. Personal accounts are ideal for individual creators, while company accounts are designed for teams collaborating across multiple projects. Follow along to learn the differences!

To use StudioBinder, you are required to have your own personal account. This is true even if you’re working within another user’s company account—you’ll still need a personal account to log in and collaborate.

If you’re creating your account to work on someone else’s company projects, your personal account serves as your login, while the company account holds the shared projects, contacts, and settings.

When viewing profile drop-down menu your personal account is marked by the account that says Owner.

A company account is the workspace that you’ve been added to. This is where shared projects are managed.

When viewing the profile drop-down menu, company accounts are marked by the label Admin or Member depending on your role within the company.

If you’re collaborating on multiple productions or teams, you can switch between company accounts without affecting your personal account.
