How to duplicate a strip on your stripboard

Learn how to duplicate any stripboard strips

If you need to make a quick copy of a scene on your stripboard, StudioBinder allows you to duplicate any stripboard strip. This way, you can use an existing scene as a base for a new one or create alternate versions without starting from scratch. Follow along to learn how to duplicate any stripboard strips.

Step 1 ⏤ Open strip settings

Click the more icon (⋮) to the right of the strip you want to duplicate.

Step 2 ⏤ Select duplicate scene

Click Duplicate Scene from the drop-down menu.

Step 3 ⏤ Apply changes

In the scene editor, make any adjustments, then click Apply Changes.

Step 4 ⏤ Update screenplay

In the pop-up, choose Update screenplay, then click Apply Changes.

Note: If you choose to update your screenplay, it will add this duplicated scene to your screenplay editor. If you prefer not to add this to your existing script, you can click Don't update screenplay.

Step 5 ⏤ Review & confirm

Your new strip will appear under the original with an updated scene number.
