Creating custom departments and positions in StudioBinder allows you to tailor crew roles to fit your production needs. Follow these steps to add new departments and roles to your company settings.
Note: This department will only be accessible in new projects; any projects created prior to the establishment of this department will not receive this update.
Step 1 ⏤ Click company name
Click on your company name in the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 2 ⏤ Open company settings
Select Company Settings from the drop-down menu.
Step 3 ⏤ Open company departments
In the Company Settings sidebar, click Company Departments.
Step 4 ⏤ Add new department
Scroll to the bottom of the Company Departments sidebar to reveal & click Add Department at the bottom of the department list.
Step 5 ⏤ Create new department
Type a new name for this department, then click Create Department.
