StudioBinder allows you to rename project departments to better reflect your production’s structure or update team roles. This is helpful when department names need to be clarified or repurposed.
Note: You cannot rename default departments; only custom departments that you have added yourself can be renamed.
Step 1 ⏤ Open project departments
Hover over Settings on the project sidebar to reveal & click Project Departments from the drop-down menu.
Step 2 ⏤ Scroll down
Scroll to the bottom of the department sidebar.
Step 3 ⏤ Select a department
Hover over the department you want to rename to reveal & click the more icon (⋮). Then select Rename Department from the drop-down menu that appears.
Step 4 ⏤ Save department
Rename your department then click Save Department to apply your changes.
