How to import a revised script via breakdowns

Update your script in the Breakdown page to reflect the latest version of your screenplay

Written by Mark

If you’ve made changes to your script after starting your breakdown, Studio Binder allows you to import a revised version without losing your work. This way, you can keep breaking down your script with the most accurate version of it.

Step 1 ⏤ Open settings

In the top-right corner of your Breakdown page, click the more icon (⋯).

Step 2 ⏤ Import script

From the drop-down, select Import Script.

Step 3 ⏤ Continue the import

Click Continue to confirm you’ve added scene numbers in your screenwriting software.

Note: Make sure to generate scene numbers before importing. If not, scenes won't sync correctly in future revisions.

Step 4 ⏤ Upload your file

Drag and drop your revised script or click browse to upload from your computer.

Step 5 ⏤ Confirm the version

In the pop-up, review the file name and click Next.

Step 6 ⏤ Click update script

Review the comparison of your current and new script, then click Update Script.
