How to tag an element in more than one category

Learn how to tag elements to multiple categories

Written by Robert Kiraz

StudioBinder lets you tag an element to multiple categories within your breakdown. For example, if you have an element that can serve as both a prop and set dressing, you can assign the element to both categories. Follow along to learn how.

Step 1 ⏤ Open the sidebar

Click the sidebar icon in the top left-hand corner of your breakdown page to open the breakdown sidebar.

Step 2 ⏤ Add more elements

Hover over the Scene Elements sidebar to reveal & click + Add More Elements.

Step 2 ⏤ Enter element details

Since the element has already been tagged, you have to manually type the name of the element (e.g., “1970s newspaper”) in the Element Name field & select a category.

Note: Click the Tag all mentions in script check box to tag all mentions of this element in your script.

Step 3 ⏤ Review & confirm

Now, your element will appear in both categories.
