StudioBinder allows you to represent dual dialogue by using clear formatting techniques that indicate overlapping speech. You can use shared character lines, parentheticals, or action lines to show that two characters are speaking at the same time. Follow along to learn how!
Option 1 - Character names
Dual dialogue can be indicated by both character names on the character line. This is best if two characters intentionally or unintentionally say the same thing.
Option 2 - Action line
You can indicate that the line below is spoken by two characters on the action line preceding the dialogue. This is best if characters are talking over each other.
Option 3 - Parenthetical
You can use a parenthetical to indicate dual dialogue. This is also best used if two or more characters are talking over each other.
