The first step to create your scene breakdown sheet would be to tag up the key elements in the screenplay you imported. This becomes especially useful if you're looking to add more information to a particular Scene, i.e. whether a scene needs Special Effects or not.

Simply highlight and tag parts of your screenplay within a Category. Here's how to break down your script:

Step 1 — Go to Breakdowns

Navigate to the Scheduling drop down menu and click Breakdowns.

Step 2 — Tagging an Element

To view the drop down menu, highlight a word or phrase by double clicking it. Name your element and enter a Quantity. Last, choose a Category and click Add Element.

Step 3 — Elements Sidebar

After you add a new element it will be Color Coded within the script and automatically organized into the Element Sidebar.

Can I change the color of an Element?

There isn't any way to change the color of a default Category, however, if you create a new Category, you'll be able to change the color.

Can I mark an element more than one Category?

Currently, there isn't any way to mark something as more than one element. For example, if you want to mark a "Shirt" as Wardrobe and another Category.

The sidebar on my Breakdown page isn't appearing, why?

If the sidebar isn't appearing, it's most likely due to your browser width. Extend your browser and you should be good to go!

  

Automatically tag all mentions

Instead of typing the same props or items multiple scenes for each scene that has the same elements, you can easily tag all mentions of particular element. Just select the category and click the Tag all mentions in script checkbox. Automatically tagging the mentioned will essentially break down the script (or treatment) for you without any effort!
